This module in our 500-hour yoga teacher training core curriculum is also open to everyone!
Making a physical class ultimately meaningful to the heart may be the most sophisticated and elusive skill of the yoga teacher. When we can manage to create a class that is both physically and mentally inspiring and uplifting, our students feel like we are speaking only to them, and the practice feels deeply personal and relevant to everyone in the room.
There are many ways to incorporate a theme or an intention into a yoga class. The trick is finding and developing the theme integration technique that feels most authentic, powerful and natural to us. We will explore a few different techniques and try them on for size, practicing teaching our friends with them until we feel that our theme is as much a part of our practice as our alignment instruction or our brilliant sequences.
