MAHA YOGA MONTH CHALLENGE


We know how good we feel after yoga, right? So why don’t we make our practice a daily priority? So many reasons: the daily grind of life takes charge, limited time, finite resources . . . let’s flip the construct on its head! Challenge yourself to practice every day for a month and watch your practice take a quantum leap to the next level! We’ll add an early morning class for you to choose to fit your practice in before work, we’ll make it uber affordable, and we’ll reward you at the end! There are many studies about how we develop a habit, but they all agree on these three steps:

1. MAKE THE DECISION

For the month of April, we'll be adding early morning classes with Mira Monday through Friday, in addition to Mira's regular schedule. Morning classes are 6:30–7:30 a.m., followed by an optional 15-minute guided meditation.

Your class options are:

Monday

  • 6:30–7:30 a.m.: Led Flow Yoga*
  • 5:30–6:45 p.m.: Flow Yoga

Tuesday

  • 6:30–7:30 a.m.: Flow Yoga

Wednesday

  • 6:30–7:30 a.m.: Led Flow Yoga*

Thursday

  • 6:30–7:30 a.m.: Led Flow Yoga*
  • 6:00–7:30 p.m.: Intermediate Expansion

Friday

  • 6:30–7:30 a.m.: Flow Yoga
  • noon–1:00 p.m.: Flow & Unwind Yoga

Saturday

  • 9:00–10:15: Flow Yoga
  • 11:30–12:45: Flow Yoga (at the Carrboro Yoga Co.)
  • To accommodate the non-Maha students on Saturdays, the Maha students will alternate between these two Saturday morning classes. We’ll provide a Saturday schedule on our first day. Talk to Mira ahead of time if you have specific requests.

Sunday

  • Mandatory rest day for your body’s recuperation

Please remember: you can always take the rest you need IN class!

*Led practice means that Mira practices with the group.

2. RESOLVE TO PERSIST

Every evening, you’ll receive an inspirational email, reminding you to get a good night’s sleep and prepare for your practice the next day.

3. REWARD YOURSELF

Your price includes the Maha Yoga T-shirt for those who complete the challenge. At the beginning of the month, you’ll let us know your size, and at the end, you’ll get your gift!

The challenge begins with the Monday 6:30 a.m. class on April 3, and ends with the Saturday 9:00 a.m. class on April 29.
